What makes NANO SOMA® patentable?

NANO SOMA®, a food, is patented across 80% of the global population. This is possible because the behaviour of policosanol as a nanoemulsion – which NANO SOMA is – is not predictable from the coarse form of policosanol that it was created from.

The product’s developer, Dr Raghavan (Raghu), expresses it this way:

“If you take a lump of salt or sugar and dissolve it in water, you produce a nanoemulsion;¹ however, the results of that process are entirely predictable from where you started. However, when you take policosanol, a wax that’s very common in the plant world, and turn it into a nanoemulsion, what you get is not predictable from where you started.”

This does not mean that the resulting product is different every time. The resulting product (NANO SOMA) is the same each time. Rather, it means that you cannot examine the coarse form of policosanol (the version not in its nanoemulsion form) and get any understanding of how the nanoemulsion will behave in the body. It’s as if a whole new substance has been created – yet it’s completely natural and has been shown to have a profound relationship with our biology. This is why this food can be and has been patented.

For clarity, the way NANO SOMA behaves in the body is entirely predictable. It acts, in every case, to prompt our bodies to activate many dormant functions, such as the production of Vitamin C and pluripotent stem cells, and to prompt our bodies to take care of any imbalances that do not represent optimal health.* Further, NANO SOMA prompts our bodies to conduct a triage, encouraging it to address the more severe issues first.
