A typical question I get asked by friends and potential customers: “So, what does NANO SOMA® do?”. Not an easy question to answer, as the effects of NANO SOMA are so multi-faceted and comprehensive.
So, for the next few blogs, I will use an analogy that I hope will make the many workings of NANO SOMA easier to grasp.
The Orchestra
Picture the interior of your cells as a grand concert hall. Inside this hall, the orchestra – hormones, metabolites, receptors, transcription factors and chromosomes – are the strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion, with each part bringing unique tones, melodies, rhythm and harmony.
In this metaphor, the nuclear receptors are the strings section: they provide the foundational harmony and maintain the base rhythm. In the cell language of homeostasis (the state of balance between the bodily systems needed for the body to survive and function correctly), the strings set the key, the mood, and the internal tuning of the performance.
In our analogy, NANO SOMA is the conductor, waving the baton, guiding the strings (the nuclear receptors) and the rest of the orchestra, so that the entire performance remains in tune, adaptive, and resilient. NANO SOMA doesn’t play an instrument itself; instead, it coordinates the musicians, ensures the timing, and ensures that each section plays its role in its ideal harmony.
The Strings: Nuclear Receptors – Foundations of Cellular Concert
The human genome encodes some 48–49 nuclear receptors – ligand-activated transcription factors that respond to small, often lipophilic molecules (vitamins, hormones, lipids) and then modulate gene expression. These nuclear receptors regulate metabolism, inflammation, differentiation, cell cycle, immune responses, and bodily rhythms – essentially providing the “strings” to the cellular symphony.
When the strings are well-tuned, the orchestra (the cell, the system) functions in harmony. But if some of the string section is out of tune – for instance, a nuclear receptor is under-expressed or suppressed – then discord enters: metabolism becomes imbalanced, inflammation might be unchecked, and homeostasis gives way to instability.
The Conductor’s Role: How NANO SOMA guides the Ensemble
Recent research shows that Metadichol® is capable of modulating the expression of all known nuclear receptors in stem cells and somatic cells. For example, one study reports that Metadichol treatment of umbilical-cord stem cells and fibroblasts leads to a detectable expression of 48-49 nuclear receptors in a dose-dependent manner.
In our analogy, the conductor (NANO SOMA) cues each string section, ensures each instrument is plugged into the right pitch, and ensures no string is left silent when it should be playing its part for the harmony.
Because the strings (nuclear receptors) provide the foundational tone, by guiding them, the conductor (NANO SOMA) ensures that the woodwinds, brass, and the percussion (the many downstream signaling pathways – metabolism, immune response, gene regulation) all play in the proper key.
Some key features of how the conductor acts:
